Missions

Mission Statement: It is our desire as a Southern Baptist Church to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved, and to grow in our understanding that God is at work in the lives of believers and nonbelievers. We desire to be a people that want to serve God where He is at work.

Our Mission Trip To Michigan

On June 29, 2002 a group from Hickory Grove left Conway traveling to Monroe, Michigan to help establish a new church, Anchor Baptist Church , near the Lake Erie beach area of Monroe.

The goal of the volunteer missionaries was to invite members of the community near the beach area to a neighborhood block party and assist with the block party that was held on July 4th. The purpose of the block party was to introduce the community to the new Anchor Baptist Church and help form a list of prospective members for the new church.

Anchor Baptist Church is a cooperative effort of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church , Southeastern Baptist Association of Monroe and the Baptist State Convention of Michigan .

Kenny Spain is the church's first pastor. Pastor Spain has connections with Hickory Grove Baptist Church! Faithfully serving as Hickory Grove's pastor in the early nineties.
